Job snapshot
The Financial Controller will report to and work closely with the CFO to maximize productivity, develop staff and improve processes. Developing positive relationships across the business to help support decision making, ensure controls are in place where needed and to drive working capital improvements.
You will take full responsibility for leading and supporting the group Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting and Treasury functions. It is key to be a people-focused professional, who demonstrates ability to make decisions and be a leader driving team performance
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the management of a finance team
- Review existing processes within the Finance department, implementing improvements where appropriate.
- Responsible for working capital performance with an emphasis on each quarter end results.
- Lead, Mentor and Develop direct reports.
- Monitor daily cash positioning and cashflow forecasting for the group, ensuring adequate liquidity is available daily to meet the business needs.
- FX execution and hedging (forward contracts)
- Review and approve tax and payroll submissions and ensure timely payment of same
- Plan, co-ordinate and liaise with external auditors in the successful completion of the annual statutory financial statement audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and control procedures and support implementation of strong internal controls.
- Lead the company wide forecast and budgeting process.
- Responsibility for preparation of the month end reporting packs for the Board
- Responsibility for all areas of the Statement of Financial Position and Income Statement
- Build relationships with external partners such as banks, commercial insurance and pension brokers ensuring we maximize services provided and maintain competitive rates.
- Liaise with other internal departments in reviewing and improving processes, standards and delivery of specific projects as required.
- Maintain robust internal controls and compliance (VAT, tax, audit)
- Responsibility for all month end reporting across central cost departments ensuring accuracy, completeness and that all deadlines are achieved
- Implementing systems and controls improvements across the Group
What are the role requirements?
- Qualified Accountant CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Minimum of 3 Years' experience in a similar role
- Experience in managing, leading, and developing members of a Finance team.
- Ability to build positive relationships.
- High level of computer literacy, experience of ERP systems
- Commercial awareness
- Travel to sites based in Ireland on a regular basis.

Benefits
- The salary will be dependent on the applicants experience, the salary will be €90,000 to €110,000 (DOE).
