Morgan McKinley is delighted to be working with a leading property development company who are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the entire group, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing key insights to drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and tax returns.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and implement financial budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Treasury Management: Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with senior management to provide financial guidance and support business decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Group Financial Controller or in a senior finance leadership role within a complex organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and identify key trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker 1 with a commercial focus and a proactive approach to business challenges.
