Job Title: Maintenance Planner

About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in County Cork for an experienced Maintenance Planner.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and optimising maintenance processes.
You will work closely with the Site Asset/Technical Manager and Projects Engineering team to ensure efficient operations, smooth project handovers, and plant reliability improvements.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
CMMS Administration:
Act as the system owner for the Site CMMS, ensuring that all asset and maintenance data is accurate and up-to-date.
Process Optimisation:
Lead the development and improvement of CMMS work flows to support maintenance operations.
Project to Maintenance Handover:
Manage the transition of new project installations into the maintenance system, including uploading essential data (equipment details, BOMs, PM routines).
Asset Management:
Update and maintain the CMMS with new asset details and perform regular validation checks. Remove redundant assets as required.
Spares and Calibration Management:
Conduct spares assessments, link spare parts to relevant assets, and assist in managing the site's calibration program.
Reliability Improvement:
Lead plant reliability initiatives using methods such as FMEAs, OE/availability, RCM, and condition-based monitoring. Drive preventative maintenance programs including vibration and thermography analysis.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA):
Participate in RCAs for recurring equipment issues and assist in developing maintenance solutions.
Coaching and Support:
Provide training and coaching to the maintenance team on CMMS usage and asset management best practices.
Stores and Contractor Support:
Support the Maintenance Stores Manager with SAP system integration and assist in managing contractor orders, spare parts, and stock management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
