Project Accountant

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong expertise in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and a solid background in the manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for supporting financial project management, ensuring accurate cost tracking, and driving financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, track, and report on project costs and budgets

• Work closely with operations and finance teams to support project delivery

• Analyse variances and prepare regular financial reports

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

• Use SAP to manage project accounting modules and reporting

• Build financial models and conduct detailed analysis using Excel

• Provide ad hoc support for audits, month-end close, and forecasting

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience in a similar project accounting role

• Proven background in the manufacturing industry

• Proficient in SAP

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis
