About the Role:
Our client is looking for a dedicated QA Specialist to ensure the highest standards of quality for all products manufactured and purchased at their Cork facility. In this key role, you will oversee the entire process of product realization, from material reception and manufacturing processes to the final control of finished goods. You'll be instrumental in applying best practices and methodologies to guarantee quality throughout production and ensure that all standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and support personnel in maintaining quality standards and procedures.
Oversee the application of defined quality standards across all production stages.
Assist with Environmental Management Initiatives when needed.
Maintain and manage the calibration and control programs for production equipment.
Ensure the laboratory and all equipment are consistently clean and in good working condition.
Report any production, chemical, or mechanical issues from a quality, safety, or environmental perspective to relevant parties.
Validate goods during receiving and in-process spot-tests by ensuring full knowledge of laboratory equipment.
Conduct chemical and physical conformity analysis on materials, products, and environmental-control samples.
Perform thorough inspections of incoming/outgoing goods and in-process QA/QC checks to ensure they meet defined standards.
Support the resolution of non-conformities and customer complaints, working with both internal and external stakeholders.
Work alongside the IMS Leader to implement and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring it is understood and applied across the team.
Assist in internal and regulatory audits to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Capture and update quality and environmental performance data in the ERP system and IMS.
Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve any technical issues related to production, chemicals, or mechanical components.
Provide backup for the IMS Leader in managing non-conforming materials, products, and processes.
Who You Are:
Ideally, a third-level qualification in Quality, Engineering, or Science.
Previous industrial experience in a manufacturing environment is a must.
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
