Position: Health & Safety and Quality Manager
Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of excellence in quality, health, and safety across the manufacturing site by implementing and upholding policies, guidelines, and processes.
- Promote and support compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) and quality standards, driving continuous improvement in site performance.
- Engage with the workforce to enhance skills and understanding in delivering world-class infrastructure.
- Stay informed about the latest H&S and ISO standards, legislation, and updates.
- Lead safety audits, analyze findings, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Maintain and refine existing management systems, introducing enhancements as necessary.
- Ensure all safety procedures are properly established, implemented, and followed, with the ability to develop new procedures when required.
- Oversee the generation and secure storage of all required records.
- Identify areas of risk, conduct assessments, and implement effective control measures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, tracking actions through to resolution.
- Provide expert advice and support to colleagues on H&S and quality matters.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, walks, and audits to ensure compliance with site procedures and legal requirements.
- Manage internal and customer audits, including facilitating management reviews.
- Oversee internal activities programs, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are recorded and communicated to relevant teams.
- Support the resolution of quality issues by investigating problems, identifying root causes, and implementing cost-effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and perform statistical analyses to produce detailed monthly reports.
- Collaborate with the management team to drive safety and quality improvements through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver training programs to new hires and existing staff on H&S and quality-related topics.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, or Compliance Standards.
- Familiarity with ISO standards; internal auditor qualification is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Proven track record in implementing and improving H&S and quality systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in training and engaging teams in H&S and quality initiatives.
