What you will do
In this vital role you will be a member of the Global Cost Accounting team that is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the global inventory and cost of sales.
As part of the Global Cost Accounting team the job includes but are not limited to:
- Perform the inventory, cost of production and cost of sales accounting for certain manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites and distribution channels.
- Prepare sophisticated journal entries, general ledger account analysis.
- Prepare and check reconciliations for both SAP and consolidation tools - adhering to best practices and audit standards.
- Support product integration activities and associated process harmonisation projects.
- Prepare audit schedules and answer questions from internal and external auditors including physical inventory count collaboration, planning and execution.
- Prepare advanced financial schedules such as footnote, month-end flash reports, accounting memos, and other ad hoc schedules, as required by the supervisor to strict deadlines.
- Consolidate, analyse, and report global inventory balances by product/site and perform detailed monthly variance analysis.
- Perform certain accounting control functions and reporting requirements as directed such as inventory reserves, inventory step-up, pre-approval manufacturing, standard costing including absorption tests, and excess capacity analysis, among others.
- Collaborate flexibly with global accounting team members and certain global and external service provider functions across multiple time zones to ensure effective communications and alignment in a dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate Degree, OR
- Master's degree and 2+ years of experience in general accounting, OR
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in general accounting, OR
- Associate's degree and 10+ years of experience in general accounting, OR
- High School Diploma/GED and 12+ years of experience in general accounting
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of General, Intercompany and Cost Accounting experience using SAP.
- Dynamic accounting/finance experience including corporate-level public company experience.
- Experience liaising with outsourced partner relationships.
- Experience in financial system optimization, improvement, and implementation
- Knowledgeable in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in other functional accounting areas (i.e., intercompany
- , cash, investments)
- Experience with SAP
The onsite expectations are to be available to come onsite 1 to 2 days per month. The role will be mostly remote in line with the rest of the team. Office based in Santry, Dublin.
