Our client is recruiting for a Finance Administrator to join their team. The office is based in Smithfield, Dublin 7 and a hybrid working structure of 2 days on-site per week will be required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the Finance Administrator will assist in producing the
monthly management accounts, financial and operational reporting, the preparation and
consolidation of annual budget process, the annual financial statements, as well as other routine
tasks relevant to Group Reporting.
The successful candidate shall undertake tasks, including those listed below, to the highest
standards:
Set up and correctly code purchase orders that include detailed information relating to the
items/services, quantities, prices, terms and conditions.
Support to the ICT and finance teams produce reports and track finance and contract
documentation including processing of Purchase Order (PO)s and Supplier invoices, contract
requirements and checklists
Aid in preparing monthly management accounts as well as year-end accounts.
Support the preparation of monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budgeting process.
Assist with the execution of month end activities, including preparing and posting journal entries
to record all financial transactions for the month.
Assist in updating budget workflows on the organisation's ERP system.
Prepare and post contractor accrual journals, ensuring all financial activities are recorded in the
correct accounting period.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors where required, providing necessary
documentation and evidence if requested.
Help review and update finance policies and procedures to align with best practices and any
regulatory changes relevant to the Authority.
Maintain open communications with fellow colleagues, keeping them informed of any relevant
issues or queries.
Assist with other ad hoc assignments as agreed to support the general work of the Authority.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Each candidate must meet the following requirements at the time of the competition closing:
Hold a minimum of a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 4 qualification or
equivalent.
Have relevant experience working within a Finance or Business domain (preferably involving
financial accounting systems).
Competent MS Word and MS Excel skills.
Have proficient Management & Delivery skills (Communication, Relationship Management,
Proactivity, Decision-Making).
The ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team.
