Morgan McKinley are exclusive retained by a high growth Irish business. Our Client are looking for a dynamic, commercial, Finance Director to lead the Finance team. The successful candidate must have a proven track-record in leading a finance function. Reporting to the group CEO, the Finance Director will also have close engagement with key internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholder management including audit and banking partners. Working closely with the CEO, the FD will hold both technical and strategic advisory roles; working collaboratively with the senior team and direct reports to monitor the overall commercial and financial position. .
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity of the Company's financial and regulatory reporting and ongoing governance of accounting, financial and tax policies, processes and procedures
- Ensure the adequacy of internal financial controls throughout the Company
- Advise Senior Management on relevant market benchmarking, future trends and recommend action plans
- Manage transformation initiatives within the finance function; driving better decision making and greater efficiency of reporting through simplification, standardization and automation of financial processes and reporting
- Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts and budgeting and forecasting exercises
- Management and control of treasury risks including monitoring and analysis of pricing and hedging as required.
- Formulate financial plans in accordance with the strategy, as set down by the Board
- Report and participate in relevant Board committees and present to the Board as required
- Support MDs in annual budgeting process and provide insights and business analysis to support commercial decision making at a senior level.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Holder of a relevant professional qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMA, minimum of 10 years' post qualification experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability including the development, empowerment and engagement of direct reports and cross-functional project teams
- Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, business process, and problem-solving skills
- Experience of mergers/acquisitions and/or raising finance is essential.
