The Role
As a Finishing Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of construction to ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will coordinate with the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver finished units that meet or exceed client expectations, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all finishing works, including internal fit-outs, snagging, and final inspections.
- Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring efficient progress of works and adherence to schedules.
- Supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and suppliers, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular quality checks and snagging to maintain the highest standards of finish.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and building standards.
- Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to resolve any issues or delays.
- Maintain detailed records of progress, inspections, and any variations to plans.
About You
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman, ideally on large residential or mixed-use developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Trade qualification or relevant construction-related qualification (preferred).
