    Global Category Manager - Indirect Procurement

    Location: Ireland (with global remit)

    Are you a seasoned procurement leader with global sourcing experience and a passion for driving strategic value across indirect categories? We are partnering with a leading multinational to recruit an experienced Global Category Manager to join their global procurement team. This role offers the chance to influence procurement strategy on a global scale, working across regions and business units.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for a major global category with up to 300M spend.
    • Align global procurement strategies with regional needs and business objectives
    • Drive performance on key metrics such as cost optimisation, supplier rationalisation, compliance, and working capital
    • Manage supplier relationships and contracts with a focus on performance, risk, and data security
    • Guide and mentor regional category teams, ensuring consistent execution and continuous improvement
    • Foster adoption of internal tools and preferred suppliers through stakeholder engagement

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • 10+ years' experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management, ideally with a global or regional remit
    • Demonstrated expertise in managing indirect procurement categories such as travel within a complex international business
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills across multiple functions and geographies
    • Proven track record of driving cost savings, compliance, and process improvements
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a collaborative leadership style
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools
    • A relevant Master's degree (e.g., Business, Supply Chain, Procurement) is preferred
