An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller to join our client, a leading technology group headquartered in Ireland. This dynamic and fast-paced organisation is experiencing rapid growth in Dublin West and is offering this role on a 12-month temporary contract with a highly competitive salary and excellent hybrid working options.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will lead a team of five highly skilled finance professionals, overseeing finance operations, compliance, financial reporting, analysis, strategy, and stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Financial Controller with group-level reporting expertise, strong leadership and management capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex financial processes in a high-growth, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee group structure reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage the month-end and quarter-end closing processes, maintaining high standards of financial reporting.
- Lead group consolidations across three entities, including intercompany reconciliations.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis on revenue, gross margin, and operational costs, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Oversee financial integration's following acquisitions to ensure smooth transitions.
- Work closely with key business stakeholders to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support the company's long-term growth and direction.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- Act as the primary contact for external stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team of five professionals.
Key Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of four year's experience in a senior financial control role at group level.
- Proven experience in group-level consolidations and financial reporting.
- Strong expertise in group close processes, intercompany transactions, and audit management.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience guiding high-achieving teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
