In the context of this extensive strategic change agenda Group Technology has established the IT Strategic Change Management function to lead the implementation of enhanced processes, tooling, and techniques to enable prioritisation of the Bank's Technology resources.
Your Role:
The IT Technical Analyst is a key role within the Bank for application management of BCS SFIA, Smartsheet Resource Manager and Power BI, owned by our Strategic Change Management function and utilized by all Group Technology functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the processes for supporting these systems are effectively designed in collaboration with key stakeholders (IT functions, HR, Finance), the maintenance of the applications and underlying data integrity and currency is maintained and can develop insightful reports for relevant audiences. You will be responsible for the IT configuration, implementation, integration, of these applications. You will be responsible for ensuring they are maintained to the highest level, to meet acceptable service level agreements in terms of system availability, and resilience.
In addition to a good understanding of IT systems and Data analysis the role requires a clear communicator with stakeholder management experience and strong facilitation skills.
Your Team:
Reporting to the Strategic Change Management Team, you will work closely with Group Technology team leads and relevant stakeholders across the Bank (HR and Finance primarily).
Your Responsibilities:
You will work closely with the Group Technology Head of Strategic Change Management and Group Technology Skills & Capability Manager to manage and administer relevant IT applications as outlined above, and engage with key stakeholders and vendors.
System
- Configuration of these platforms to meet GT organisation needs, including setting up modules, workflows, user permissions, reporting and handling complex queries.
- Trouble shooting & Technical Support -point of contact and lead troubleshooting efforts for these platforms, working with vendors on diagnosing and resolving system errors, performance issues or integration issues. Provide technical support for end-users and serve as point of contact for the vendors.
- Proactively identify issues, in particular in relation to performance, and provide the necessary solutions.
- Work with the infrastructure teams within the bank for connectivity, software upgrades and data related activities
- Provide support and training for users including Group Tech employees and management. Address users'questions and concerns regarding navigating the applications. Develop user guides and training materials.
- Required to engage in technical discussions with the vendors around system requirements, SLAs, software updates, and integrations, requiring fluency in technical language and concepts.
- Maintain up to date technical knowledge and ensure the wider team is upskilled and informed in relation to administrator responsibilities.
- Providing assurance that user stories or requirements have been met and required practice has been followed to address accessibility, usability, security, health and safety.
Data:
- Ensure integrity of data within system and associated processes to ensure accuracy of weekly and monthly reporting and MI to Head of Strategic Change Management, Group Tech Leadership Team and relevant Group Technology Committees.
- Implementing data management practices for in scope applications.
Process:
- Analysing and designing processes to support and optimise strategic and tactical resource management utilising in scope systems and teams.
- Develop and maintain an environment of innovation and continuous improvement, focusing on quality, cost reduction and process development.
- Support the Head of Strategic Change Management in implementing changes in processes and systems to deliver productivity and service improvements.
Risk Management
- Identify and control risks in advance and make suggestions to the team about how to mitigate against risks.
- Maintain awareness of all compliance, regulatory and legal directives and support development of approaches to minimise risk and potential damage to our reputation.
- Ensure these systems comply with our organisations security standards and legal requirements, working closely with our TPM and TPRA teams.
- Support the management of risk by ensuring that product services and processes operate as intended.
Leadership
- Build credibility and establish good working relationships with the business, other teams within IT, Group IT / IT Services and third parties.
Requirements:
Essential
- 3 + years in a similar role, preferably in the Technology domain
- IT qualification preferably to degree standard or similar
- Demonstrable experience of working with stakeholders
- Experience in the following third Party Tools/Technologies: - BCS SFIA, Resource Manager, Power BI , Tech tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence etc)
- Excellent data gathering, analysis and presentation skills (advanced level Excel / PowerPoint skills)
- Strong facilitation, co-ordination, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical ability to interpret relevant data for data driven decision making.

- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills are essential for working across different functions and departments. This includes the ability to listen actively, articulate ideas clearly, and collaborate with other teams within Group Technology to achieve common goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels and cross functionally.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
- High level of personal resilience and problem-solving capabilities
Desired
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications are desirable.
- BI tooling experience (PowerBI; SAS BI)
