Our client is an international leader in the construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure. They are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager to join the team based in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual with a background in civil engineering or construction management to develop their career in a dynamic environment.
The role offers hands-on experience in both site management and project coordination, ensuring that projects run smoothly, safely, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily site visits to oversee both asphalt and civils crews
- Develop and maintain site progress reports
- Order site materials and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Use GPS technology for setting out, measuring, and recording as-built data
- Track and manage project costs
- Coordinate applications for road opening licenses
- Develop and implement traffic management plans
- Prepare documentation for new projects
- Maintain and update contract safety files
Skills and Competencies:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience using AutoCAD is highly desirable
- Proficient in GPS systems and surveying techniques
- Competent with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Full, clean driving license is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
