My client a leader in innovation and sustainability are seeking to hire a Logistics Operations & Account Manager to help guide them during their growth phase and optimise their logistics and transport solutions.
The desired candidate for this position will have a keen interest in environmental issues and will be an experienced logistics professional ideally coming from an FMCG background. If you have experience in logistics network design and implementation including multidrop delivery and / or collections then this could be the ideal role for you.
This is a full time permanent position and the key responsibility is to oversee and manage all Logistics Operations (collections, processing, backhaul and Sale) of the recycling of in-scope materials.
Summary of Key Accountabilities
Contract Management
- Draft, revise, and maintain accurate contracts and related documentation.
- Update SOPs, policies, and risk matrices; ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
- Monitor business continuity plans and partner performance.
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure validity of third-party insurances and licenses.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance and enforce penalties where applicable.
- Align operations with organizational standards and resolve regulatory issues.
Relationship Management
- Foster strong client and supplier relationships.
- Communicate with stakeholders and deliver updates to the board.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Develop KPIs to track performance, identify improvements, and plan for future needs.
- Collect data for forecasting and ensure efficiency targets are met.
Strategic Management
- Plan and execute logistics strategies aligned with operational goals.
- Evaluate and manage outsourcing/insourcing decisions.
- Lead transformative initiatives and adopt innovative practices.
Skills and Experience
- The role requires experience of creating and managing commercial and operational aspects of related partnerships contracts.
- Leadership experience ideally gained in either FMCG, drinks sector, waste management or recycling sectors.
- Knowledge of logistics network design and implementation including multidrop delivery and / or collections
