Job Description | Production Technician
An innovative tech company based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Production Technician to join its growing Production Department. This role primarily focuses on managing the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. The successful candidate will work with cutting-edge products used by millions of people daily to tackle complex challenges. A keen interest in technology and a willingness to learn are essential.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the processing of field returns (incoming and outgoing)

Maintain and update data using tools like Google Sheets and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)

Perform functional testing using established procedures

Accurately document testing outcomes

Troubleshoot production and customer issues

Apply fixes or escalate via internal channels as necessary

Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams and customers

Coordinate return shipments and monitor tracking

Prepare quotations for out-of-warranty repairs

Generate detailed repair reports for clients

Source materials to support contract manufacturers in case of shortages

Actively participate in regular production meetings
Qualifications & Experience

NFQ Level 6 Certificate or Level 7 Diploma in a related field (e.g., Electronics, Electrical/Process Technology, or Manufacturing)

Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage

At least 3 years of relevant experience in a production or repair environment

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Self-motivated and capable of working independently

Detail-oriented with a structured approach to testing

Well-organized with strong documentation skills

Adaptable and flexible approach to work

On-site work is required due to the hands-on nature of the position
