Morgan McKinley are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Supply Planner with expertise in medium and long-term capacity planning to join an expanding supply chain team. This is a contract role based in Dublin with hybrid working options.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing forecasts, assessing production capacities, and developing strategies to ensure optimal utilization of resources while meeting customer demands. The role requires a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate production capacities, constraints, and capabilities to determine the feasibility of meeting demand forecasts.
- Develop strategies to optimize capacity utilization while ensuring operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely execution of production plans.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, logistics, and sales to align supply plans with demand forecasts and business objectives.
- Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain such as material shortages, production delays, and transportation issues. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of supply.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, production efficiency, inventory turns, and service levels. Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance, capacity utilization, and actionable insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Key requirements:
- 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, with a focus on medium and long-term capacity planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
