Our client is a leading organisation providing asset and liability management services to the government. They oversee a broad portfolio of public assets and liabilities, offering financial advisory, project structuring, and funding solutions for major capital and infrastructure projects. Their focus includes education, transport, justice, climate, and social housing sectors, ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale state-funded initiatives.
The Project Finance Analyst will support senior colleagues in advising public sector bodies on financial and commercial matters, assisting in the development and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. The role involves financial modelling, contract analysis, market engagement, and stakeholder collaboration across government and private sector partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in structuring and delivering infrastructure projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Conduct financial modelling, whole-life costing, and payment mechanism development.
- Support contract development, including financial requirements for procurement and legal documentation.
- Engage with capital market, debt, and equity funders for project financing.
- Provide financial advisory services, including financial statement analysis, credit assessments, and market evaluations.
- Prepare reports and memoranda for senior management and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
- Third-level degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (desirable).
- Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in financial advisory, banking, corporate finance, or project finance.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
