Morgan McKinley are working with a leading Irish software firm at the forefront of cutting-edge technology solutions to recruit a Technical Project Manager to lead large scale projects.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Manager to join theTechnology Department. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving Technical Delivery excellence, owning cross-department process improvement initiatives, and leading as a change agent. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies in dynamic industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align with a technical domain to become a subject matter expert.
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the company, utilising Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage work dependencies across multiple teams.
- Identify, own, and drive both short-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Effectively communicate and escalate risks to senior leaders and customers.
- Improve team technical delivery practices.
- Lead cross-functional engagement.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record and a passion for driving results. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong Product/Tech Organization Experience: technical project management experience within a fast-paced Product/Tech environment.
- Agile/Lean Delivery Expertise: Proven experience with SDLC, Agile, and Kanban methodologies to optimize delivery.
- Data Visualization & JIRA Skills: Experience and a strong willingness to build dashboards, with proficiency in JIRA.
- Lean & Flow Focus: In-depth Lean experience, with a focus on visualizing work and understanding Flow metrics.
- Executive Communication & Risk Management: Ability to deliver crisp, distilled messaging to executive teams, with strong risk management and escalation skills.
- Metrics & OKR Drive: A strong focus and experience in driving with metrics and OKRs.
- Change Agent Mindset: Energetic and influential, capable of leading as a change agent, identifying, owning, and driving initiatives.
- Visual Communication Skills: Ability and willingness to build visual cues to enhance understanding and drive action.
- Empowerment & Autonomy: A leadership style that empowers teams and promotes autonomy in improving ways of working by visualizing performance and trends.
Requirements:
- 4+ years' technical project management experience (6+ years industry experience preferred).
- Engineering background preferred.
- Proven experience in Lean and Agile methodologies.
- Software delivery experience.
- Strong ability to grasp complex technical issues and make informed decisions.
- Ability to motivate, influence, and guide technical delivery teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- JIRA proficiency (advantageous).
- Strong collaborative and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
