A well-respected and long-established financial services firm is on the lookout for a Senior Portfolio Manager to join its team in Co. Galway.
This is a hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional with experience in debt management, restructuring, and commercial lending. You'll be working with a mix of SME, corporate, and property clients, helping to develop tailored financial solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations. The role offers variety, responsibility, and plenty of opportunities to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of cases, engaging with borrowers and stakeholders to agree on workable financial solutions.
- Carry out credit analysis, assess risk, and make sound financial recommendations.
- Negotiate settlements and restructuring plans to achieve the best outcomes for all parties.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and compliant approach to case management.
- Attend meetings, contribute to strategy discussions, and help drive best practice across the team.
- Keep accurate records and prepare regular reports on case progress.
What You'll Need:
- Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) or relevant financial qualification.
- A minimum of five years' experience in commercial debt management, restructuring, or financial services.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with a good commercial instinct.
- The ability to analyse financial statements and balance sheets to assess risk and make informed decisions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial reporting.
- A solid understanding of Irish CCMA, CPC, and SME regulations.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
