My client, a leading MNC with headquarters in Kilkenny, is seeking an ambitious Financial Accountant to join the A&R (Accounting & Reporting) team. The successful candidate will support A&R Managers and Senior A&R Managers in ensuring the timely and accurate financial accounting and management reporting of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate financial and management accounts on a monthly and year-end basis, accompanied by detailed reporting packs for senior leadership and Group management.
- Deliver comprehensive financial analysis and insights, helping management teams gain a deeper understanding of business performance and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the maintenance of essential controls to uphold financial integrity.
- Support the A&R Manager by providing ad-hoc operational and commercial reports tailored to business needs.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to financial controls, systems, and processes in response to evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to contribute to statutory reporting schedules and ensure tax compliance.
- Oversee and control SAP data uploads for budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the planning process.
- Lead efforts to ensure strict adherence to the Group Policy Manual and procedures, keeping financial controls updated to meet compliance standards.
Key Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
- Prior experience in a multinational organisation or a medium-to-large practice is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, with a solid foundation in IAS/IFRS.
- Ability to analyse complex financial and commercial matters, presenting clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus, though not essential.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to challenge and influence colleagues across various levels of the organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing reports.
- Highly analytical with the ability to think strategically and commercially while maintaining attention to detail.
