This opportunity offers an exciting chance for a seasoned Quality Assurance professional to lead and shape quality operations at a dynamic and fast-paced site. The Quality Site Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of Quality Operations, including leading the Quality team, developing the site's Quality and Food Safety Management System, verifying food safety and quality control programs, and fostering a strong culture of quality and food safety.
Collaborating closely with the site management team, this role ensures that customer, company, and regulatory standards are consistently met and exceeded. This position reports to the Head of Quality Operations and offers the opportunity to contribute to a broader network of production sites while supporting professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Contributes actively to the company's Quality Leadership team, engaging with other site quality leaders and the central Quality team to enhance systems and standards.
- Leads the site's Quality team in managing Food Safety, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance programs, ensuring effective monitoring and verification.
- Supports Operations in implementing Food Safety and Quality Programs, including HACCP and GMP, and leads Root Cause Analyses (RCA) when required.
- Oversees the timely testing of raw materials and the assessment of finished products for specification compliance.
- Drives a strong Quality and Food Safety culture across the site, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Leads Food Safety and Risk Management activities, ensuring robust risk identification and effective Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
- Manages and responds to customer complaints, implementing effective corrective actions at the site level.
- Ensures the site maintains required certifications and compliance with the company's Quality Standards program.
- Evaluates and approves process changes and validations to ensure consistent and high-quality outcomes.
- Maintains the site in a state of inspection readiness, preparing for and successfully managing customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
- Develops, trains, and manages the Quality team while supporting the training of key operational roles that impact food safety and quality.
Requirements
- A third-level qualification in Dairy or Food Science (or equivalent).
- 5+ years of leadership experience in quality and food safety management within the food industry.
- Demonstrates the ability to lead and develop a strong Food Safety and Quality culture.
- Possesses strong technical expertise and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong Audit experience (internal, regulatory and customer)
