Job Description
An exciting Fixed Term Contract opportunity for an Associate Scientist has come up to join a pharmaceutical company located in Co. Mayo, Ireland. They will be working with method validation, method development, investigating and testing for both new and existing products. This role has a lot of cross-functionality to it, you will be involved in the testing, documentation and the presenting and reporting of findings and data to the wider team. If you are eager to develop your career, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. This job is a two shift rotation (includes 20% shift allowance).
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing the daily tasks with the ability to generate reliable and consistent results.
- Analyse results and identify any deviations.
- Troubleshoot both experiments and instrumentation.
- Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills.
- Receive training on new experimental techniques.
- Use multiple techniques such as HPLC and GC and show ability to modify where required with the ever-changing needs of the research and development sciences.
- Input into projects through lab and pilot plant-based activities.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.
Requirements:
- BSc in the field of science
- Minimum two years HPLC & GC experience
- Ideally someone who has worked with method development and validation
- Excellent documentation, presentation and communication skills
