The Role
As a Data Governance and Risk Manager you will
- Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and frameworks based on industry best practices (e.g., DAMA DMBOK).
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality through profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
- Conduct data risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to protect our assets.
- Manage data access and security, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to foster a data-driven culture.
- Oversee and deliver key data governance projects on time and within scope.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies to continuously refine governance practices.
The Ideal Person will have
- 4+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of frameworks like DAMA DMBOK and methodologies for data governance.
- Hands-on experience with data quality tools and techniques.
- A solid understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
