This is a hands-on Cyber Security Consulting role focused on strengthening enterprise resilience at the front line of cyber threat response.
Engaging deeply with client CSIRT teams, supporting organisations through both day-to-day preparedness and real cyber incidents.
The role offers deep exposure to incident response, executive communication, and security operations, within a global consulting firm that treats cyber risk as a core management issue.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end incident response support by working closely within client CSIRT teams during normal operations and crisis situations.
- Design, build, and enhance CSIRT structures and response frameworks.
- Plan, design, and execute practical incident response simulations, delivering improvement recommendations.
- Collect and analyse cyber threat intelligence to assess risk and define response strategies.
- Prepare and deliver cyber risk reporting and recommendations for executive management.
- Coordinate incident response efforts with SOC, IT, legal, and other internal stakeholders.
- Conduct post-incident reviews to drive process improvement and recurrence prevention.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in CSIRT design, build, or operational support.
- Practical experience in cybersecurity incident response, either through consulting or in-house roles.
- Experience planning and delivering incident response exercises.
- Strong technical understanding of security operations and incident handling.
- On-site problem-solving experience, including real incident response situations.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability with calm decision-making under pressure.
- Ability to integrate into client organisations and build trusted relationships.
- Flexibility and resilience in high-uncertainty environments.
- Strong coordination skills to align multiple stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset to position cybersecurity as a management priority.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in SOC operations or threat analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM or log analysis platforms.
- Practical experience in vulnerability assessment or penetration testing.
- Strong interest in understanding cyber threats in a structured and comprehensive manner.
- Cybersecurity-related professional certifications.
