Join a Tokyo-based renewable energy platform as an Electrical and BESS Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-performance electrical and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for solar and wind projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination with utilities, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Manage grid interconnection applications for renewable and BESS projects
- Oversee design, engineering, and quality control of electrical systems
- Draft and maintain electrical design standards for all assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for BESS integration
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and testing of systems
- Ensure full regulatory compliance and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years in engineering, including 3 years in the electric power sector
- Proven experience managing large-scale energy infrastructure projects
Technical Skills:
- Strong electrical design skills and hands-on knowledge of BESS and renewable energy systems
- Familiarity with SCADA, EMS, and plant control system integration
- Expertise in grid integration and electrical safety standards
Soft Skills:
- Motivated, self-starter with a hands-on and collaborative work style
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Conversational to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA in electrical engineering or related field
- Experience working with regulatory agencies in Japan
- Familiarity with international electrical safety and compliance standards
