Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for bonds, equities, M&A, and structured products
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory risks across transactions and operations
- Provide legal counsel on domestic and international securities laws and compliance requirements
- Support legal aspects of asset liquidation, including real estate and monetary claims
- Offer guidance on financial product structuring and regulatory strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Qualified attorney or equivalent legal experience in a financial institution
- Deep knowledge of securities law and financial products including M&A, equity, and debt instruments
- Proven background in cross-border legal documentation and regulatory compliance
Soft Skills:
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable in complex legal environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Business level or above
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting legal operations in investment banking or securities firms
- Strong understanding of Japan FSA and global regulatory frameworks
