With a growing portfolio of projects, they are expanding their team and are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to help drive their continued success.
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their team in a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating mechanical systems on diverse projects, primarily in the pharmaceutical, hospitality, large residential, and healthcare sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in projects across the pharmaceutical, hotel, large residential, and hospital sectors.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to assess mechanical requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain information and formulate competitive bids.
- Analyze and assess labor, material, and overhead costs to create accurate and reliable estimates.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate favorable pricing.
- Ensure all estimates comply with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed proposals and tender submissions.
- Support the project team throughout the lifecycle of the project by adjusting estimates as needed.
- Stay informed on market trends, cost fluctuations, and best practices within the industry.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably in the pharmaceutical, hotel, residential, or healthcare industries.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. .
- A degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an advantage.
