Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a fast-growing SaaS business based in Central London, with a dynamic and innovative approach to delivering cutting-edge software solutions.
This role is paying up to £70,000 per annum with hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the business.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business strategy and financial objectives.
- Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate and compliant VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and other regulatory filings are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Provide insight and analysis on key financial data to support business decision-making, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and growth.
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring that cash levels are monitored and aligned with business needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.
Key Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with 6+ years of post-qualified experience (PQE).
- Experience managing multi-currency and multi-entity financial structures is required.
- Strong experience within the SaaS industry, ideally having worked in a high-growth, technology-focused business.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Payhawk, Navan, Pleo, and advanced Excel.
- Previous experience working with financial tools and platforms to streamline processes and enhance reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and controls.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
- Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Desirable (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Mayday and Scale XP financial platforms would be highly advantageous.
