Do you have experience of project managing a complex tax litigation case? Or working closely in conjunction with HMRC with regards to a dispute resolution?
This banking group is currently undergoing various complex litigation cases across corporate tax and VAT and they are looking for a contract hire to come in, work with the existing team, and take a lead on gathering and pulling together data to prepare their case for dispute resolution. You will need to be a strong project manager with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at a senior level, as well as working through large amounts of data (sometimes dating back some time) with the end goal of pulling together a cohesive and evidence-based argument to take to HMRC.
You may have gained previous experience working on similar litigation cases, or working closely with tax authorities on tax audits as part of an in-house tax team, or you might have worked as part of a dispute resolution team in one of the large accounting firms. Either way, you will need to have a good understanding of how to work with a variety of stakeholders to drive and pull together a project, and present the evidence in the best way possible.
This is an initial 12 month contract which is set to start in February / March.
