Assistant Management Accountant

We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our client based in Wellingborough, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and a keen interest in numbers to take the next step in their career. You'll be working on management accounts, reconciliations, and other key financial tasks, helping to keep everything running smoothly.
- Produce, review, and analyse monthly management accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Manage and maintain fixed asset registers.
- Process purchase invoices and deal with any queries.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
- Use Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) to create and improve reports.
- Help improve and streamline financial processes.
What We're Looking For
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Experience producing and analysing management accounts.
- A good understanding of bank reconciliations and fixed assets.
- Someone who's detail-oriented and proactive when solving problems.
- A team player who can also work independently when needed.
