We're partnering with a leading institution in the higher education sector currently delivering a large-scale digital transformation program. They're seeking a highly skilled SEO Specialist to play a pivotal role in optimising content and driving organic performance across a modernised digital ecosystem.
This is a 6 month contract role payiying up to $700 per day + super. depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement SEO strategies aligned to the university's digital transformation objectives.

Conduct technical audits, keyword research, competitor analysis, and content optimisation.

Collaborate with content, UX, development, and marketing teams to drive search performance across core student- and research-facing platforms.

Optimise content across a range of websites to improve rankings, traffic, and engagement.

Monitor performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.

Provide SEO guidance during website migration, content consolidation, and new platform implementations.

Report on SEO performance, insights, and opportunities to a range of stakeholders.
About You

Proven experience in a dedicated SEO role-ideally within complex, content-rich organisations.

Strong technical and on-page SEO expertise, including familiarity with accessibility, metadata, and schema.

Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.

Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Experience working in large digital or content transformation programs.

Familiarity with the higher education sector or public institutions is a plus.
