About The Role
As a Deputy Operation Manager, you'll be responsible for the execution of operation and maintenance contracts for local sites, which includes routine frontline O&M activities, preventive and corrective maintenance, emergency maintenance, root cause analysis and long-term strategic planning and development works.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage subordinates (25-30) for operation fulfilment (unit operation, emergency maintenance, maintenance planning, outage management, and equipment down-time)
- Drive aspects of HSE within plant operations and perform processes of vetting and auditing to ensure all O&M activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to local authorities' regulations, compliance, and code of practices for Pumping Station, Sedimentation Tanks, Boiler Pressure Part, Auxiliary System, Fuel and Combustion Systems, etc
- Responsible for fault investigations and provide insights to diagnostics/ troubleshoot for the breakdown/ defects of plant equipment
- Develop and estimate financial expenditures for all installation and maintenance, and A&A works for local sites according to the panel of board members directions and expectations
- Work closely with internal stakeholders for process optimization and project management related activities, for instance refurnishing, retrofitting, and upgrading for plant equipment and processes
- Define maintenance strategies to achieve and optimize operational excellence and cost effectiveness
- Oversee contractual operations and tender cost estimations to drive cost effective strategies and initiatives for the enterprise
Job Requirements
- Master of Science or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any other equivalent discipline of Engineering
- A Chartered Engineer, (CEng) or Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, (MHKIE) is preferred
- Minimum 8 years of maintenance & operation experience, in which 3 years must be exposed to leadership and management exposure for Sewage and Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Knowledge within an E&M/ Environmental & Waste Management Services Company is a must
- Fluency in both written and spoken Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
- Candidate should have great communication skills to facilitate day to day operations and communications between stakeholders within a multinational company
- Willingness to travel occasionally (~3 times per year) within the region of APAC for development of business opportunities
- Candidate with less experience will be considered for the title of Operation Superintendent
