Morgan McKinley has partnered with a well known company in Ireland for a Head of Data Analytics position to work on a long term contract basis. The role is a hybrid role based in Dublin with 3/4 days onsite per week.
This role will lead the organisation's data strategy, providing expertise in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics solutions. This role involves driving innovation while ensuring controlled implementation, supporting the organisation's evolving data needs.
Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Management
- Develop and refine the organisation's Data Analytics Strategy to align with business objectives.
- Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and team management.
- Maintain and adapt the data analytics roadmap to meet evolving needs.
- Implement AI-related data initiatives.
- Manage strategic data assets and ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Data Analytics Development & Implementation
- Identify and acquire valuable data sources.
- Oversee data storage solutions and cloud-based integrations.
- Leverage AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics using tools such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Develop data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Establish a self-service analytics model within the organization.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Implement a data governance framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Integrate real-time and batch data sources to enhance insights.
- Expand the data platform with external data sources while ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Establish and maintain a Master Data Management system.
Technical Architecture & Service Management
- Ensure data solutions align with enterprise architecture standards.
- Oversee development, solution design, and platform standards.
- Manage external vendors and data service providers, ensuring service level targets are met.
