NEC4 Contracts Manager - Dublin
Long-term day rate role
We have an opening for a Contracts Manager versed in NEC 4 construction contracts. This is a long-term day rate position, working on the client side of one of the largest capital projects ever undertaken in the State.
Some key responsibilities will be:
- Manage contractual negotiations and provide guidance to teams tasked with project delivery.
- Work effectively and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate delivery under contracts.
- Review and manage the onboarding of subcontractors who can evidence compliance
- Assure compliance with the Contract Management standards and contractual terms and conditions in the execution of the contract administration activities
- Highlight and manage the reporting of areas or instances of non-compliance
- Manage commercial relationships with Contractors and Consultancies to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of works and services.
- Review draft contract agreements to ensure they are fit for purpose and a fit for the project in question
- Track contract progression and manage any damage claims that arise
- Participate in the ongoing review of the performance of all parties to contracts
Experience Required:
- 10+ years' overall experience of contract management and administration
- A least one projects delivered under the NEC suite of contracts
- Experience of monitoring and negotiating with Contractors and / or Consultants around performance
- Significant experience in, and understanding of, claims management
Qualifications
- A construction related degree and some qualifications in contractual management
- Composure, strong communication and negotiation skills and an ability to grasp wider project goals.
