Test Automation Engineer | Daily rate contract | C# & API testing |
Duration: 6 months
Rate: €500
Location: Dublin, hybrid, 2/3 days onsite per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated API tests using C#.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement effective test strategies.
- Take ownership of test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Assist with test lead duties, including documentation of test strategies and driving the overall QA process.
- Work in Agile environments, leveraging BDD/ATDD practices to write acceptance tests in parallel with development.
- Drive process and tool improvements to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong proficiency in C# programming language
- Extensive experience in API test automation using tools like RestSharp, Postman, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., BDD, TDD, ATDD)
- Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, SpecFlow, NUnit)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
