Position: Microbiology Trainer
Location: Galway
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process for analysts, including interviewing and onboarding.
- Provide comprehensive training to analysts in pharmaceutical and medical device microbiology, covering topics such as Environmental Monitoring (EM), Endotoxin analysis, Bioburden testing, Water analysis, and more, in accordance with training schedules.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of microbiology analysts before their placement with clients, including resource allocation, scheduling, and supervision of necessary laboratory resources.
- Review and evaluate analysts' documentation, data, lab investigation reports, deviations, and other relevant materials.
- Adopt a coaching approach to support analyst performance, foster confidence, and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in regular update meetings to review the status of current analysts, including weekly trend reporting and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management.
- Continuously assess and enhance the training structure and modules, identifying opportunities for improved learning and efficiency while ensuring compliance with quality systems (e.g., GMP and ISO 17025).
- Inspire and motivate employees to meet targets and ensure optimal resource utilization.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science (Level 8) degree.
- At least three years of experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), with at least one year in a similar role preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- First aid certification is a plus.
