Morgan Mickinley is delighted to support a leading global company with a significant presence in Cork who are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a keen interest in tax to join their International Accounting team.
In this role you will own or co-own tax compliance for one or more entities and play a vital role in their financial reporting processes.
About the Role:
- Prepare, submit, and ensure timely payment of local direct taxes.
- Manage annual tax audits, collaborating with the International Tax team and external advisors.
- Complete quarterly tax forecasts and actual tax computations for US GAAP reporting.
- Ensure financial records comply with US and Local GAAP.
- Support local financial reporting.
- Contribute to SOX compliance and internal/external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing processes and implementing solutions.
- Build strong relationships with key contacts across EMEA and within the team.
- Meet individual objectives and contribute to team goals.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 1- 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Tax qualification is a distinct advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience in a fast-paced multinational environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
