One of Ireland's leading main contractors is the market for a Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director to run a large residential project in East Cork
Role: Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director
Location: East Cork
Salary: €90-120k, vehicle, pension, bonus
Our client is fast becoming a leader in the delivery of high quality residential projects in Cork City and County. With several high profile projects already underway, they require a Senior Contracts Manager/Project Director to help them with the next phase of projects which will see them deliver over 500 homes in Cork over the next 2 years
The main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the commercial team in the planning, tendering and delivery of all developments
- Providing specialist technical leadership
- Planning resourcing of projects and monitoring against budgets
- Implementation of best practice in project controls, performance management, and Project Reporting.
- Monitoring sub-contractor performance and determining labour requirements.
- Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders
- Being responsible for company Health & Safety files, Homebond applications and other important documents
- Attending weekly/monthly site meetings
- Regular site visits with and on behalf of the construction director to monitor the progress of several projects
The ideal candidate will:
- 10-15 years experience as Senior Project Manager, Contracts or Construction Manager
- Experience in large scale residential & commercial projects in Ireland or the UK
- Possess a third level qualification in a Construction or Engineering discipline
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience liaising with local government, ESB, Irish Water and planning authorities
- Have proficient IT and report writing skills
