Our client, a leading food production company in Ireland, are seeking to hire a Shift Production Manager for their Cork site.
We are delighted to partner with this food production leader as they grow their team in Cork. They are now seeking to hire a Shift Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Production Manager, as Shift Manager you will be responsible for the daily leadership and management of production activities and colleagues across production lines in line with strategic KPIs. Strong experience leading diverse team in a fast-paced environment would be essential to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively lead and manage production operators, ensuring efficient daily production process.
- Implement production plans as set by/alongside the Production Manager including shift plans.
- Develop and train production operators, consistently providing feedback on performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Proactively address production issues as identified.
- Work closely with production management for ongoing reporting on KPIs and overall production activities.
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years years' experience in production supervisory roles, ideally in food production.
- Strong people management experience with the ability to manage personnel issues as necessary.
- Some experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement practices.
- Strong awareness Health, Hygiene & Safety requirements.
- Relevant third level qualification.
- Reliably commute with own transport.
