Morgan McKinley are looking for an Asssitant Merchandise Planner to join a well-known retailer in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key part in influencing commercial decisions and work with management to define and maintain optimum stock levels for all products within group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for merchandise planning and stock forecasting (on an Annual/Bi-Annual/Quarterly basis) for assigned categories
- Provide high quality data and analysis across budget performance, sales performance, margin and investment
- Manage the category relationship with the finance managers in each global location to ensure full alignment on all budgets and KPIs
- Responsible for managing optimum stock levels for each business unit
- Providing accurate margin and category information as required for any new Bid process
- Deliver specialised, high level commercial analysis and evaluation of medium and long term strategic corporate planning opportunities
- Liaise with the supplier to identify and confirm an action plan for slow sellers or discontinued stock.
- Responsible for replenishment including defining replenishment parameters, forecasting sales trends, reporting on out of stock analysis and supplier fulfilment issues
- Working to improve efficiencies within the department e.g. new reporting templates, improved working processes
Key requirements:
- 3+ years merchandising/planning experience within a retail environment
- Project management experience beneficial
- Proficient user Power BI and MS office with advanced excel skills
- Full clean driving licence essential
