The Specialist, Upstream Manufacturing, part of the Manufacturing Operations group, supports commercial manufacturing operations, equipment commissioning, and qualification. This is a shift-based role (12/7 or 24/7).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations
- Execute commercial manufacturing processes per established work instructions.
- Operate production equipment in the assigned area.
- Follow GMP and SOP requirements.
Documentation & Process Optimization
- Develop operating procedures and other documentation for large-scale manufacturing.
- Contribute to process investigations and optimization using scientific, engineering, and lean principles.
Systems Proficiency
- Use automation systems like Delta V, Syncade, OSI/Pi Historian.
- Utilize business systems such as SAP, Trackwise, and Maximo.
Compliance & Collaboration
- Review batch/exception reports and collaborate with Quality Assurance.
- Assist in investigations and QA audit activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design, validation, and operation of manufacturing facilities.
Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and improve work processes, equipment, and safety.
