Job Title: Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) - Corporate Law

About the Role:
A prestigious and growing law firm is seeking a skilled and driven Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its Corporate department, specializing in Corporate and Commercial law. This is an excellent opportunity for a PSL to take a leadership role in shaping the future of the firm's Corporate practice. With flexible working options, this role offers the chance to work collaboratively with senior legal professionals while also allowing for a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
Education and Training
- Design and manage training programs for the Corporate team, including group continuing education, new joiner inductions, and professional development electives.
- Deliver effective and engaging training on various aspects of Corporate law to ensure the team stays at the forefront of legal developments.
Current Awareness and Technical Expertise
- Stay up to date with changes in Corporate and Company law, case law, and emerging legal trends, providing regular updates to the internal team and clients.
- Assist with the preparation of client-facing materials such as horizon scanning reports and thought leadership articles.
- Address complex legal queries and provide expert guidance to the team.
Precedents and Knowledge Management
- Maintain and update Corporate law precedents and resources, ensuring the team has access to the most current legal tools.
- Support the firm's wider knowledge management strategy by helping to centralize and share legal know-how across the organization.
Business Development
- Assist with the firm's client initiatives, including seminars, workshops, and business development activities, working alongside the marketing team to create materials that strengthen client relationships.
- Contribute to internal and client-facing presentations to highlight the firm's expertise and knowledge.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in Corporate law.
- Strong research and drafting skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal matters in a clear and accessible way.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
