Morgan McKinley are seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Planner with expertise in short and medium term planning to join an expanding supply chain team. This is a contract role based in Dublin with hybrid working options.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing forecasts, assessing production capacities, and developing strategies to ensure optimal utilization of resources while meeting customer demands. The role requires a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
- Evaluate production capacities, constraints, and capabilities to determine the feasibility of meeting demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely execution of production plans.
- Develop strategies to optimize capacity utilization while ensuring operational efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, logistics, and sales to align supply plans with demand forecasts and business objectives.
- Identify potential risks and disruptions in the supply chain such as material shortages, production delays, and transportation issues.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, production efficiency, inventory turns, and service levels.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance, capacity utilization, and actionable insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Key requirements:
- 4+years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP experience is essential
