A leading global provider of tax refund solutions is seeking a dynamic Country Head to lead growth and innovation efforts across Japan, ensuring long-term success in the local market.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead the achievement of sales targets and P&L goals, working closely with team members to enhance sales strategies and support their execution.
- Guide, mentor, and develop a team of regional sales managers, city managers, and sales representatives, ensuring effective leadership and management across all levels.
- Oversee the daily operational aspects including sales operations, financial management, and corporate development, while fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders and the Ministry of Finance.
- Refine the operational model to address tax and legal complexities, ensuring growth opportunities are maximized.
- Drive and manage cross-functional initiatives to ensure successful implementation of strategic goals.
Required skills
- Over 8 years of experience in external sales, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles in consulting, operations, or business development.
- Proven ability to manage and grow sales teams, particularly within the fintech, POS, or SaaS industries.
- Deep understanding of the Japanese market, especially the merchant landscape, is a strong advantage.
- Strong decision-making skills, with a balance of strategic vision and practical execution.
- Proficiency in Japanese and English, with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
