The Assignment

In a period when the client’s business had embarked on a major transformation journey to support business strategy, which included modernising their operating model as well as their technology architecture, they needed to source a Technology Director to drive the process forward. Morgan McKinley Executive Search partnered with the client to assist them in their search for Technology Director - Platforms Engineering & Services, reporting to the Chief Information Officer. The role was that of a key member of the technology leadership team (TLT) tasked with driving the future of technology and innovation at the organisation. The Technology Director - Platforms Engineering & Services, was mandated to run reliable, efficient services whilst modernising technology operations at scale and ensuring that the organisation delivers world-class and evergreen services such as infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), networks, end-user devices, service desks, etc.

Our Solution

While ideally this role would be based in Dublin, given the significant scale of our client’s operation, the talent pool with the requisite skill set is based in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. We also scoped European expatriates across the USA and APAC.
