We are currently working with a well known business based in Central Bristol, this interim role will be for around 3-6 months and will support the finance manager and wider finance team with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support business strategy.
- Oversee and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Handle payroll and VAT returns.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage year-end processes.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial projects as required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a management accountant role, ideally within an SME environment.
- Proficiency with Sage accounting software.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including reporting, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
