Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Senior Risk Manager on behalf of a tier-1 investment bank in Belfast.
Rate: £630/day umbrella - 6-month initial contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and propose steps to strengthen the bank's systems of control and governance for the adequate protection of the Equities Senior Manager and legal entity governance.
- Drive the control framework evolution, and devise and deliver solutions to sufficiently mitigate existing and new emerging risks.
- Assist Equities to embed an effective governance structure for oversight of activities that impact legal entities while maintaining documentation of Senior Manager responsibilities.
- Support EMEA Risk and Control MI, Governance, reporting and escalations.
- Work with the team in the monitoring of adherence to policy requirements and supervisory controls.
- Assist in the coordination of issues remediation across the EMEA Equities businesses.
- Maintain control documentation needed for the various internal, external and regulatory reviews.
- Work with Business Unit Management to deliver new control initiatives.
- Interact with the Markets Central Risk & Control teams , Compliance, Internal Audit and other control functions to drive forward control enhancement initiatives and investigate control failures.
- Facilitate and as required participate in ad-hoc reviews and regulatory / supervisory examinations of the wider business.
