Financial Controller (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified)

Contract until 22/08/2025

Manchester, UK (3-4 days onsite)

Responsible for:

- Be responsible for the overall on-time, accurate and complete delivery of the month end financial reporting process

- Be responsible for reviewing and approving key journals during the month end process- challenging any entries that are not clear or do not have appropriate back-up

- Responsible for reviewing the reconciliation of the general ledger accounts; ensuring detailed supporting analysis and relevant documentation

- Responsible for overseeing a number of compliance requirements, i.e. SOX, tax, statutory and statistical filings

- Support internal & external audits and inquiries

- Support on other finance initiatives within the team as appropriate

- Establish close working relations with the wider finance team to resolve issues or establish new processes as required. Including liaison with the Technical Accounting team as necessary to ensure appropriate accounting entries are used.

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years post qualified experience in a management accounts background

- Qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or ACA

- Strong interpersonal skills
