About the Role:
My FS Client are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer with expertise in ETL, Python, and SQL to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising data pipelines, ensuring the seamless flow of data across the organisation. Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.

Develop and optimise SQL queries and database structures to support analytics and reporting needs.

Leverage Python for data transformation, automation, and integration with various data sources.

Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed.

Troubleshoot performance issues and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency.

Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.
Key Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a senior role.

Strong expertise in ETL development and data pipeline orchestration.

Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.

Advanced SQL skills, including query optimisation and database performance tuning.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data tools.

Knowledge of data modelling, warehousing, and big data technologies.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills:

Experience with tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.

Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks.

Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices for data engineering.
